Upon his unencumber, some of the detained reporters mentioned he and others have been held in a police van for some 3 hours and then they had been dropped at a police station, puzzled and issued with an authentic “caution” for having participated in an “unsanctioned protest,” sooner than sooner or later being launched. 

Significantly, no ladies had been detained.

“It was once transparent they [the police] went after explicit other people, all males and most commonly reporters,” one witness, who requested to stay nameless for worry of repercussions, informed POLITICO in a telephone dialog. “Most probably to deter reporters from masking such occasions one day.”

Russian state media has omitted the squaddies’ better halves protest team.

In feedback to the Dutch information company ANP, Dutch Overseas Minister Hanke Bruins Slot described the detention of 2 Dutch reporters as “very regarding,” and mentioned there could be a response. She gave no additional main points.

“You must be capable of do your activity as a journalist with out the danger of touchdown in prison,” she was once quoted as pronouncing.
